Style Your Brand Image & Fashion Tips with 'Styling with
Amy' & Karen of Spirit & Soul Photography

It has been a couple weeks, since the workshop Amy Elberfeld, and I gave, and I must say we operated like a 'match made in Heaven'. We came together and planned weeks in advance with different, but complimentary ideas that resulted in a successful workshop that left our participants hanging out afterwards, socializing with one another for what eWomen call an "afterglow." Amy and I,  were so pleased on every level about how the event turned out.  Our easy communication style made for a workshop that was fun, and filled with practical tips and content. One of our participants said she used the information we provided right away.

Amy and I, fit together like a pair of fine, leather gloves. We just knew it felt right immediately from our fun personality, to the content we wanted to share, the selection of the venue at MJ's in Milford, Ohio, to a wine and food selection that was above par and contemporary. And, according to our participants who filled out our surveys from Survey Monkey, they felt the same and rated our event 'excellent.'

Happy hour bottles of wine from MJ's great selection made for a festive, learning event.

If anyone follows my Pinterest boards, my blog or knows me, they recognize that I love cute food and cute cocktails. I have a Pinterest Board that is titled, "I love pretty little drinks" And so does my friend, Janet Goudy. Above is one of the cute cocktails she ordered: a Cosmopolitan.  I had one,  a couple days earlier when Amy, Janet and I, checked out the place for our event. It was delish'!

:) Remembering that fashionable clothes and accessories were also a part of the event; we had Janet try on one of the many beautiful necklaces provided by Amy Elberfeld for her fashion walk. My mistake on the event description I put fashion show; it was actually a fashion walk or stroll nonetheless, Janet was up for the fashion challenge as she loves fashion!

You never really know when you plan an event if anyone is going to show up. Even when you work really hard to market your event via email, social media, email campaigns; sometimes you just cross your fingers and say a little prayer. When our guests started arriving and on time, Amy and I were so pleased that everyone who said they would come did, plus more! For our first event, Amy said either we would be happy or cry at the end! We were indeed happy!

Thanks to all our friends and business associates, many who are one in the same!

Every seat in the room was taken, plus we had to bring more chairs in, which was
a good problem to have. It is beautiful when your friends show up! Above, is my friend
Crystal Grace, co-owner of Pathway Day Spa & Nail Bar; a real bar :)
to be located in the historic Over-The-Rhine neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio.
My friend, Natalie Ebert-Reder another business woman modeling her beautiful top from
Amy Elberfeld's Jockey Person to Person fashion. We loved Natalie's outfit!

Even my friend, Phyllis' husband attended. He was so very attentive!
And even offered some of his own insightful tips!

Amy, and I definitely utilized our friend, Janet. Here she is reading my bio for my introduction. I'm quite the silly one when I'm in my zone! I love teaching and training, especially when it's a subject I've studied and practice in real life. I honestly live out styling one's brand image! How you dress, how you present yourself tells others how you wanted to be treated. As much as people say their appearance shouldn't matter or accept me the way I am. I say that's not realistic, especially in the business world, that's just not the case.

During my talk, I emphasized that your brand message should reflect the image you want to project. For example, my business brand message is Be Bold, Be You and Be Beautiful in my photography business service to women and girls. My message also caters to being 'style-driven and brand conscious. I strive to reflect this message in my company and personal image and help women and girls to feel the same through their experience with Spirit & Soul Photography.

Amy is also a fashionista! She loves fashion and helping women dress for
the part they play in business for success and in their lifestyle.
As a stylist for Jockey 'person to person', Amy is very
knowledgeable about wearing the appropriate clothes for various occasions.

In creating a brand image, you must have a vision of how you see yourself and how you want your client to perceive you. Your image and your brand message must be aligned in truth and authenticity, and you must differentiate yourself from others because the marketplace is saturated with duplicate businesses. Amy guided our participants to create a style vision board that was based on selecting pictures and images that they were immediately attracted to. We didn't want our guests to second guess themselves, and edit out what they were intuitively attracted to. Amy did a great job, pre-selecting pictures of fashion that went beyond the typical mid west look and colors of black, brown, grey, and basic suits. She had contemporary fashion images from cut out magazine pages showing trendy and practical colors for today's business woman.

You must stand out among the crowded market place!
Amy gave our guests instructions on being kind to yourself and accepting who you are, but gently reminding them that first impressions are important and are made within the first 30 seconds of meeting and connecting.  We wanted out guests to take a chance, be bold and envision a style and look that really appeals to you within 30 seconds! And go for it! Who is stopping you?

I absolutely love the blue and black blocked color dress that Rhonda selected. It is smart, savvy and a very wearable dress.  While our participants were making their style vision board, Amy gave great fashion tips for accessorizing with jewelry, scarves and jackets. A great jacket could top off this outfit, Rhonda! And this would be a great color for you too! :) BTW: Rhonda became one of my photography clients; I'm excited about helping her with a fresh brand image! Stay tuned!

My friend, Tiffany had a great vision board. She's already a fashionista as you can see, and her makeup is flawless! But like our other guests, Tiffany expressed that she learned so much more about the style she was drawn to in 30 seconds. Sometimes, as women we aren't confident about our looks; we talk ourselves out of what could be the most fabulous and unique ways of dressing all because of the town we live in, the friends we socialize with and the fear of standing out. But as a business woman, you must step outside your fears and be bold, and authentic!  In a saturated marketplace, you must stand out!

"Be Bold, Be You; Be Beautiful!"
