After posting New Year's pictures on face book, one of my fb friends posted: "Is that the famous party girl?" My immediate response was: "LOL!! I guess that's me, Robin...love
socializing with friends, family, going to business & social
events... living life while we are here! It seems to agree with me, my
lifestyle and my honey!"
Here's the pic that she commented on, a selfie I took right before heading out to my favorite New Year's Eve party with my cousins and my honey, Art!
I say OWN who you are, but always work to improve and try something new! You have the power to change! In 2014, strive to be happy, healthy and separate from the pack! Are you doing what you love? Is it bringing you good vibes, good health and a youthful outlook on life? Are you in good health, do you look vibrant, full of life or are you often sick, looking tired and have nothing new to talk about! If you answered no, to a few; now is the time to try and do some thing different in 2014! You have the Power to Change!!
So yes, I DO love socializing and as you can see from the pic above of New Year's eve with me and my cousins; it agrees with me! I pulled rank on these ladies and told them I'm the oldest so I get to be in the middle! They obliged! As I have gotten older (57yr this March) I don't party in the same manner as I did when I was younger but I still party! I've just modernized and re-fashioned it! Instead of clubs: I love social events, and networking events where I can socialize and meet new people and reconnect with old! And as you know, I love photography, kids, and I LOVE food! I also love giving back by donating my time and gifts. What are you passionate about? Update and modernize what you love in 2014! Nothing changes unless you change it! You have the power!
Party with kids and photography:
I've re-packaged my party days by living it vicariously through my photography and especially kids! Tween aged kids are the most fun, exciting group to photograph! They are full of energy, no pretension, and no dull traditional posing. They are full of ideas and always wanting to do something new! And I love it! It's like a party to me! Have you tried something new? Can you take something old and make it modern. Sure you can! Seek new things by going outside your comfort zone. If you stay in the same zone, you'll get the same view!
Sidebar: Cincinnati has been trying new things. We have a re-vamped downtown and there are all kinds of fun things to do! So this view of Cincy looks good to me!
Foodie: My party and love with Food!
I love food! I am a foodie who loves eating new things! So it's a party to me to try something new! I'm turning 57 this March and although I grew up 'Soul Food' it just loves to hang around and add to my calorie count. So I party by trying new foods that are hopefully not only good, but are healthier! Some excellent and interesting places to eat in Cincinnati are on Vine Street in Over the Rhine. If you haven't been on Vine Street recently here's a reason to go! Mini sliders from A Tavola.
'A Tavola Pizza' is a gourmet pizza restaurant located at 1220 Vine Street! My friend, Crystal, who I met through church, introduced me to it along with a number of other fine eateries in OTR! She is my tour De Food. We didn't try the pizza, but we went for sliders. I started off by saying...I don't eat sliders really. They aren't that good...they're just small sandwiches with a little meat on them. Negative right! On the same token, as a foodie, I am a fan of flavors...good flavors that blend well together. Not cheese as a flavor or sour cream as a flavor. But flavors based on spices, herbs, and various seasonings mixed together to create something good, with healthy being the icing on the cake! I took Crystal's advice and tried the egg plant slider. Upon biting into the small sandwich it had the biggest flavor bursting with amazing juices! It was so good, that all I could do was take a closer look at this mini slider to see if I could determine what gave such a small sandwich a big savory taste. It was OUTSTANDING!!
Moving on because that's what party girls do! What party girl doesn't love a cute cocktail! Well, this girl does! Own up to who you are! But keep in mind, I like different because common is just no fun for me. So with that, I said to the waiter...I would like a cocktail, but I don't know what I want. But, I know, I don't want a regular drink. I want something different. He immediately suggested their signature Flinstone Pushup Martini! The drink was cute, fruity and had a little punch (to the head)! It was so good!!! Only, one problem, my cute martini glass should have been filled to the top! But oh well, next time! But don't I look happy! I think a cute little drink or two agrees with me. Keep in mind, mature party girls don't go in to get inebriated! Remember your personal brand, and a cocktail or two makes a party girl happy!
With my Flinstone Pushup in hand! Cheers goes to: A Tavola. It really was a nice place. Crystal told me they had a beautiful oven in the back where you also can dine. The decor was nice and the ambiance was equally on par. The waiters were inviting and engaging: checking in on Crystal and I numerous times! It is definitely a place where this #CincinnatiPartyGirl will return for my party with food!
