Cincinnati is growing into a city to be reckoned with! It's new Banks project, located on the bank of the Ohio River is thrusting Cincinnati into a city of destination! I'm surprising myself, but keep one eye open or Cincinnati will grow into greatness while you sleep!
I love this shot of the Banks! You can purchase this or any of my prints from this blog at Our Spirit and Soul, fine art photography and specialty cards. http://ourspiritandsoul.com/ or contact me at Ourspiritandsoul@gmail.com
This is not your old river city of a few short years ago! Suddenly, Cincinnati is on the move! New roads, buildings, eateries; new developments popping up all across the city. And where else to start: where it was desperately needed in the heart of the Ohio river city: Downtown!
But my mind is changing, about Cincinnati being on the move and living up to it's intriguing skyline! Economic development is popping up everywhere along with fabulous activities and events to go along with it! Cincinnati might be well onto it's way to a city of destination and not a travel- through spot!
Your first stop, might be the newest development: 'The Banks' situated between the Cincinnati Reds Stadium, the Riverfront Stadium: Home of the Bengals (we'll talk later...), the Freedom Center, and access from the Covington, Kentucky bridge. The banks is sure to bring lots of traffic to downtown Cincinnati.
Above is the 'Current At the Banks', urban living at it's best: overlooking the Ohio River, and for some a beautiful, downtown skyline. It looks like a great sexy place to live! But me, I guess I will be part of the foot traffic in the area! :)
And there's plenty of places to walk around the banks! I found this beautiful location, a great spot for photographers! The symmetry of the staircase design is striking. The beautiful flowerpots vertically lining the steps lead the viewer to a peek of the city skyline. I was totally surprised: yes, this is my Cincinnati! And it's looking pretty good!
Smale Riverfront Park is inscribed on the front of the beige masonry on this building. There's a park across the street with the same name with loads of summer activities for family and the mature young adult. This building's design has an interesting mix of curved metal, blond-reddish wood, beige and grey masonry. A good mix of colors, textures, shapes and pattens, a treat for the photography like myself who loves city architecture! Ok, not sure what's in the building, but I'll find out for you and will let you know soon! I will be going inside!
And those who love Soul Food, and southern cuisine; we anxiously await for the opening of Mahogany's second restaurant on the Banks! Their first restaurant is in Hamilton, Ohio and the food is mouth watering! Just like their hamilton location; the banks location will host live music, for the jazz and R & B lover!
Love the colors, lines, ... composition of these!
