I love the colors of Spring and I guess it shows! For the past few spring seasons beautiful colors have been missing in action. I remember last spring, I went into my favorite fashionista store: TJ Maxx and asked the clerk: "when are you expecting your spring collection?" I was just in the store a week before looking for spring fashion colors and they weren't there. So when I went back into TJ Maxx, I decided to ask. She said, "we have it already." Perplexed as I looked over the store and saw a sea of browns, blacks, white and a few blues, it slipped out: "Really?" Dismayed I walked back out of the store. It's already very bland looking living in the mid-west with everyone wearing blue jeans, tan pants and gym shoes I could hardly stand it. But this season, I think the recession in many places is easing up and colors are back in! And not too soon! This week's blog captures not only the colors of spring but my mini-fashion style photo-shoot. Hope you enjoy the view!
I love this pale canary yellow, ruffled knit shirt. It is form fitting and feels so soft from my fav store: TJ Maxx. I also purchased some white form fitting white pants which you see below that will work so nicely with my multi-colored, animal print pumps. The turquoise shoulder-bag shown below will finish off the look. Over-all I like the photography, fashion layout and the look.
Now, I love this shot! Yes, I love the shoes, another exquisite shoe from the Nine West, this time in the outlet mall near Columbus, Ohio. These are satin-like animal print material. And they are soo deliciously hot! Be careful they might burn you. :) But, I love this shot because I like the tones of browns from my skin tone, to the golden brown, hardwood floors with the sun shinning off the floor onto the warm tangy-orange sunflower sitting on top of the pure white shoe box. I posed the flower over the Nine of Nine West logo. You have to make artistic and style decisions on the spot when photographing fashion. The photo has some technical problems! Maybe you can tell me what they are? I was trying to beat the sun..hint...hint!
Your spring and summer wardrobe isn't complete without jewelry. This delicate, but cute and girly piece comes from my new facebook friend from Istanbul; her name is Taki. Her jewelry is fun, bright and pretty. She has a Etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/people/takiperileri
Now this is another favorite shoe of mine, it isn't from this season. But from two seasons ago in Orlando, Florida. Actually, I didn't pick out these shoes, my boyfriend picked them. Wow, but of course you know he has good taste anyway, don't you! LOL!! I had actually picked out another pair and compared to his selection it was hands down his. These are Madden Girl shoes and they are sexy and extremely comfortable. Yes, both! Not your one or two hour shoe, but I can wear these for hours on end. And I get so many compliments from guess who...men! Men love these shoes and they are right because they are hot!!
Another piece from Taki's: a royal purple color, bracelet that goes with my royal purple Madden Girl shoe box:) Her bracelets are so feminine and girly. As you can see I love girly, pretty things. I love the stone in this bracelet. You can catch Taki at http://www.etsy.com/people/takiperileri
